The Driving Range is maintained by William Shemilt of TurfLove. Having gained his degree in Turf Management from the renowned Harper Adams University - he is very highly qualified and as the son of Judith Shemilt he is ensuring the next generation is well on board!
We are pleased to say that the Driving Range has Wintered well over the season, even though it was used as a skiing range for a brief period of time! The Powertees continue to have their temperamental moments, particularly in adverse weather conditions. We understand our customer's frustrations and endeavour to continue maintainance; however, we would like to ask our customers to refrain from jumping, hitting or smashing them with a club! Although it might make you feel better, it certainly will not get it fixed!
Please report any problems to a memeber of staff who will be happy to help as long as its not raining!
Driving Range Information
Established in 1995, The 24 bay floodlit Driving Range will enable golfers to practice their technique using superior balls and quality mats.
A rolling programme ensures that the practice balls are constantly monitored and replaced. All mats are housed in a strong rubber frame to protect and minimise impact to both the golfer and equipment.
The landing area is beautifully maintained and has measured yardage to help with practice.
Eleven of the practice bays are equipped with the Power Tee facility, a user friendly automated ball teeing system enabling golfers to improve their swing whilst maintaining stance.
To complement the Driving Range, a practice putting area and chipping green is situated conveniently by the Ironside Bar, and is free to our customers to practice their putting and chipping skills.
Both practice areas are open 7 days a week for your convenience.
