Below are the events for 2011

CHARITY DAY 2011

This year our Charity Day Competition will be an 18-hole Team Texas Scramble.

£20 per person

All players welcome including members, non-members, hackers and pro's!

Price includes 18 holes of golf, a buffet served afterwards with our Presentation Evening and the fun comes for free.

Tee Times start from midday and will be allocated about a week before so you can prepare!

Groups will consist of 3 or 4 players and may be adjusted to ensure fair play.

The dress code is Up to the Nines, so don your finest attire - fancy gear, shining shoes and outragious hats. Trilby's are not compulsory but we think they look rather dapper!

Fines are incurred on the day for entering hazards on the course, lack of fancy dress etc

A Raffle will also be held on the day, both of which funds go to Charity.

As we do every year, PGL will be donating a sum of money from the Green Fees of the Day to our chosen Charity.

Last year was our most successful year in raising money for Charity - so lets set out to smash the record this year!!!!

Men's Championships 2011

It is also coming up to the time of year that we host our Men's Championships. So if you are feeling like a Darren Clarke, or a Luke Donald Champion then you can Sign up on a list that will be on the notice board!

The competition takes place over the weekend of 3rd & 4th September and the entree fee consists of £37 for 36 holes.

Players must be members if they wish to enter this competition and become a Champion.

If you wish to become a Member to play in our Competitions, either download a form or ask in the bar. Membership costs £45 and lasts until February 2012 and gives you a fully recognised English Golf Union Handicap.

The Jenks Society 2011

What a great success! Every time we host this annual event it is filled with joy, competitive spirit and great people. The winner of this years Jenks Golf Trophy was our very own Troy Anderson with 40 points. The longest drive was accomplished by Andrew March and there was a joint effort for nearest the pin by John Sirrell and Neil Jacobs! Finally the 'Woody Spoon' for last place went to Graham Smitherman with 16 points. This was in memory of Paul Wood who died suddenly this year. We look forward to next years and with this ever growing group of golfers, it should be even better! Thanks to everyone who played and to the bar staff for looking after everyone.

ART EXHIBITION

We are pleased to welcome back local artist and keen golfer John Sirrell to exhibit his work for the second time. His last exhibition was a great success with a big turn out and we look forward to supporting this one. John very generously donates money to our charity, which this year is for Motor Neurone Disease.
